FAQ

Here are some of the most common questions potential franchisees are curious about:

1. How large is the territory that a Spaulding Decon Industries franchisee operates?

Each franchisee operates in a territory that has a population of 1 million (or more!) people. This puts your company at a distinct advantage to other restoration companies, as other franchisees only serve territories of 50,000-90,000 people. When you become a Spaulding Decon Industries franchisee, your territory will be one of the largest in the industry.

2. Do I need a license to operate my business?

It depends, as licensing requirements vary state by state. You will need to find out whether you are required to hold a license for transporting biohazardous waste and performing mold remediation. One of our representatives at Spaulding Decon Industries can help you locate this information - just give us a call!

3. Will my territory be protected?

Absolutely! One of the benefits to becoming a Spaulding Decon  Industries franchisee is that our territories are exclusively protected, so your designated area will only be operated by your company.

4. What services will my franchise offer?

At Spaulding Decon Industries, we offer a range of services that your franchise will be able to offer. These include: crime scene cleanup, mold remediation, hoarding cleanup, meth lab testing and cleanup, construction build back services, and infectious disease decontamination.

5. How long is the training period?

The initial franchisee training is one full week (seven days) and is completed at our corporate office in Tampa, Florida. We will also visit your location right before your grand opening to help with any business setup needs. (We can stay for a week or more, depending on your wishes.) In addition, you’ll work with a franchise development team as well as receive constant peer support to ensure you feel comfortable with the setup of your new business.

6. What if I don’t know anything about the crime scene cleanup industry?

That’s totally fine! We’ll teach you everything you need to know about how to clean up trauma scenes, including appropriate products and techniques to use. We’ll also help you with marketing your services to ensure you see a constant flow of business. All you need is a positive attitude and a go-getter mindset to become one of our franchisees.

7. What training and/or experience does Spaulding Decon Industries have?

We have provided crime scene cleanup services since 2005, and have won numerous industry awards during our time in business, due to the top-notch services we provide. We are trusted by police departments, law enforcement agencies, businesses, and more, and have contracts with many national companies. After many years of successful profits and a proven business model, we decided to expand our business with franchise offerings.

Where do I buy my equipment and vehicle?

We require our new franchisees to buy any equipment and vehicles from us, as we have worked out discounts with many third-party vendors. We’ll walk you through this whole process, and you won’t have to worry about bartering with companies and dealing with multiple vendors to secure the equipment and vehicle you need.
